The department of Electrical and Electronics engineering has been playing a vital role in producing scientists and technologies of highest calibre ever since it was established in the year 1999 and has been accredited in the year 2008 for three years. The department runs under graduate programmes with an intake of 120 to cater to the ever challenging needs of technical excellence in all areas of electrical engineering such as Integrated electronics and circuits, Tele-communications, Computer technology, Control, Power systems & Power electronics.

In addition to the strong undergraduate programs, the department is trying its best to establish post graduate programme. The infrastructure and lab facilities are upgraded from time to time and provide adequate opportunities for students and faculty members to learn and innovate. The department has distinguished faculty, all holding M.Tech degrees from renowed institutes in India. There are four Asst. Professors, four Sr. Lecturer and the rest are Lecturer and All are life members of ISTE. The faculty of the department has been contantly carrying out research on many cutting edge technologies and regularly publishes in International and National journals/Conference and other Technical Magzine. The department is trying to undertake many research projects and establish a research cell to procure sponsored projects by both the government and the industry.
