Message
The management programme commenced at Hindustan
Institute of Technology And Management (formerly Babu Mohanlal
Arya Smarak Engineering College) College w.e.f. July 2005 and
the Department of Business Studies came in existence w.e.f. 2006.
Efforts are made for the all round development of students as
well as faculty members.
Each and every faculty member is encouraged in
writing and presenting research papers in National and International
Conferences every year. They are also encouraged to participate
in AICTE sponsored Workshops, Quality Improvement Programmes (QIP’s),
Faculty Development Programmes (FDP’s) besides participating
in out bound adventure training as well as Team building activities
to broaden their horizon. The Department has qualified and competent
faculty who have written text books and contributed research papers
in National as well International Journals.
The maximum emphasis is given on Basic & Fundamentals
by using OHP & LCD projectors. Advance topics are also covered
by way of assignments and case studies. Maximum efforts are made
to ensure application based learning. Students are also sent out
for the survey work and collection of data for research project.
Students as well the faculty members have participated in Para
Sailing, Rifle Shooting, White Water Rafting, Rock Climbing and
Rappelling as part of the out bound adventure training as part
of team building exercises besides the visit to Industrial organizations
like – Maruti Udyog, BHEL, Indo Rama, Hindustan Zinc Ltd.
Etc.
The Personality Development Programme (PDP) is conducted regularly
by the competent trainers of SGI, Feel Employable Programme
by CHLRD, Mangalore and Guest lectures from reputed personalities
from the industry as well academia are also conducted for the
potential managers. Fresher’s Party, Farewell and Alumni
meet also organized to inculcate comradeship and Espirit-de
Corps
Faculty and students organized National level
HR symposium in March 2009 and National Conference in April 2010
in association with National HRD Network Agra Chapter which was
represented by the renowned HR personalities of different organizations
of the country and the conference had a significant contribution
by researchers from across the country. Such National level events
also provided opportunities to enhance knowledge and develop organizational
capabilities of students.
The department of Business Studies, Hindustan Institute of Technology And Management (formerly Babu Mohanlal Arya Smarak Engineering College)
is an active member of National HRD Network and also AIMS International.
